We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Co-op Student to join our Facilities Team for the summer term. The Facilities Support / General Laborer will work alongside senior facilities maintenance staff to assist with various renovation, maintenance, and repair projects across multiple sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to gain practical experience in general construction, building maintenance, and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with renovation projects, including demolition of interior areas as per permit drawings

• Support with framing, drywall installation, and painting

• Perform general maintenance tasks 

• Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Load and unload materials and equipment

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents promptly

• Provide additional support to the Facilities Team as needed

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Construction, Building Maintenance, Facilities Management, or a similar field

• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools

• Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Valid driver’s license is an asset
