Position Summary:
The Unit Director provides strategic leadership, oversight, and operational management across multiple teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, supervisory experience, and the ability to develop and implement action plans that optimize internal operations, workflows, and team performance. The Unit Director will play a key role in driving team performance, operational effectiveness, data-informed decision-making, and cross-unit collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, resource allocation, and workforce management within assigned units, including internal operations and computer-based reporting tasks.
- Develop, implement, and monitor processes to improve organizational effectiveness, service delivery, and staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and organizational policies.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design and execute strategic and operational plans.
- Prepare, analyze, and report on operational metrics to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive work culture emphasizing accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Serve as a central communication link between leadership and teams to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable information flow.
- Promote safe, ethical, and inclusive practices in line with human rights, equity, and organizational values
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in service industry.
- Proven ability to manage teams, operations, and resources effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
