CareKW is looking for skilled and reliable Occupational Therapy assistant to join our team to provide support to patients at local facilities and in our community. 
 
Location: Kitchener
Pay rate: $21-22 /Hour

Role: 

• Support an Occupational Therapist in helping patients with physical, sensory, or cognitive areas 
• Provide hands-on patient care and service to facilitate treatment and rehabilitation 
• Assists clients in care activities as assigned by the Occupational Therapist 
• Implement treatment plans and help patients perform therapeutic activities 
• Monitor and document patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior 
• Other duties assigned by the OT or supervisor 

Requirements:  

• Possess an Occupational Therapist Assistant OTA diploma from an accredited college
• Valid work permit (if applicable) 
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification  
• Vulnerable Sector Screening 
• Up-to-date Immunization Records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, Covid-19)  
• Excellent documentation skills  
• Ability to follow client care plan accordingly  
• Strong communication skills  
• Strong problem-solving skills  
• Excellent patient service skills  
• Reliable transportation  
• Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset
