To expand our team, CareKW is looking for a Physiotherapist to provide support to patient in home environments in our community. New graduates are welcome to apply. Continuous training, support and mentorship will be provided to develop competencies related to providing Physiotherapy support in a community environment.

Role: 

  • Assess and implement Physiotherapy (PT) interventions for individuals with various health conditions across the lifespan (I.e., Musculoskeletal, Cardiorespiratory, Neurology, etc.)  
  • Evaluate the client's physical, cognitive and emotional functioning 
  • Work with clients to establish meaningful goals to increase their function at home and in the community 
  • Provide client-centered, family-centered care 
  • Observe, assess, and record information on the patient's progress toward the objectives 
  • Work as a dynamic part of a multidisciplinary team to formulate suggestions for additional interventions/therapies 

Requirement

  • Be a graduate of an accredited program in Physiotherapy with registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario 
  • Be willing to travel within an assigned geographical area  
  • Possess a willingness to enhance professional competencies in clinical assessment and hands-on skills through training and professional development in the workplace 
  • Possess good communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills in a professional setting 
  • Hold a valid work permit (if applicable) 
  • Possess a current CPR/First Aid Certification 
  • Will be able to provide a clean vulnerable sector screening (VSS) 
  • Have up-to-date immunization records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, COVID-19) 
  • Hold a valid drivers license and have access to a vehicle 
  • Experience in a community setting is considered an asset.
