Nurse Lead 

The Nursing Lead is a clinical leadership role responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting operational and strategic initiatives. This role provides hands-on leadership, staff coaching, policy oversight, and risk management while serving as a clinical authority for complex care situations. The Nursing Lead collaborates closely with operations, accounting, and leadership teams to optimize care delivery, staff performance, and client outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities 

Operational Leadership & Staffing 

  • Collaborate with the Scheduling Team to understand baseline staffing requirements and build, modify, and maintain schedules. 
  • Assess workload to determine departmental staffing needs and communicate recommendations to the Manager and Director. 
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of nursing leads/Support nurses. 
  • Approve staff shifts, review billing, and coordinate with Accounting to ensure accurate processing. 
  • Participate in monthly staff check-ins and manage time-off requests for direct reports. 

Clinical Leadership & Client Care 

  • Evaluate client healthcare needs and collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. 
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and training to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, best practices, and regulatory standards. 
  • Oversee onboarding and training for new nursing staff. 
  • Participate in client care conferences and stakeholder meetings, responding professionally to staff or client concerns. 

Quality Improvement & Organizational Support 

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and organizational projects. 
  • Assist with departmental budgeting, planning, and resource allocation. 
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration. 

Availability 

  • Travel between facilities and client homes as required. 
  • Rotational Shifts and work every other weekend. 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses. 
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting. 
  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience. 
  • Valid G-class driver’s license and reliable vehicle. 
  • Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and decision-making skills. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. 
  • Ability to travel between facilities and client homes and work flexible hours, including weekends 

Shift Details:
  • Location: Main Office ( In person position)
  • Pay Range: $38 - $42 per Hour
  • Rotational Shifts (Between 6AM - 11PM)
