Personal Support Worker (PSW):

Personal Support Workers (PSWs) Requirements: 

• Personal Support Worker Certificate 
• Valid work/study permit (if applicable) 
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification 
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 3 months of hire) 
• Up-to-date Immunization Records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, Covid-19) 
• Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) certificate of completion considered an asset 
• Non-Violence Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate of completion considered an asset 
• Excellent documentation skills 
• Ability to follow client care plan  
• Strong communication skills 
• Strong problem-solving skills 
• Excellent patient service skills 
• Reliable transportation 
• Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset
